Bake Away.

"Often, out of our greatest rejection comes our greatest direction"

I instantly hit the favorite button when I saw this tweet.

Who would have thought I would love baking? No one saw this coming. My only goal when I was in college is to be able to work in media companies. I kinda did. For a while.

Travel Throwback: Mrs. S takes Bangkok.

Well I am not yet Mrs. S during this time but I was quite there.

Let me take you back to 2007.

Travelling has always been a part of me. Those short trips all over the northern part of the Philippines when I was young made me a semi-expert in packing. That is why I decided to start a TTT; Travel Throwback Thursday which will showcase my past travels every week here on my blog. I guess I just got tired of posting a whole album on Facebook without even giving justice to my wonderful photos and most especially the experience.

So let me start on my very first out of the country trip. Bangkok, Thailand.

Been-dependence Day.

I was raised by my mom since my dad and her have split when I was little. My mom, being a single mother with 3 kids to feed, she has to work harder. I basically grew up with my sisters but since we have huge age gaps, most of the time I am alone.

At age 12, I started doing chores: washing dishes, laundry, ironing my uniform, except cooking of course. If the younger generation would read this now they would probably think I'm a loser and I didn't have a life. I must say, it was a good training though. At an early stage I learned how to do stuff on my own and I have developed independence.

Being independent can mean a lot of things. Some of them I have pasted below from the ever trustworthy Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

Be Social.

This might be a good first read in my blog.

I have been writing since I was in high school. Been in and out of the school's official paper. Used to writing feature stories, meeting the deadlines, having your article cut off from an issue.

I wasn't so sure what happened so important that I killed my writing skills. Oh wait, I had a family.
